Terms and Conditions of Participation in the Competition "R&S®Scope Rider Competition - How would you use it?"

1. The competition "R&S®Scope Rider Competition - How would you use it?" (herein referred to as "Competition") is organized by Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, M#252hldorfstraße 15, 81671 Munich, Germany, Tel. +49 89 41 29 0 (herein referred to as "R&S") and takes place at the aforementioned address.

2. The producers of the runner-up prizes (e.g. GoPro camera) are neither organizing nor sponsoring nor in any other way promoting this Competition.

3. Participation is free of charge and not dependent on the purchase of goods or services. By participating in the Competition, participants accept these terms and conditions of participation.

4. The Competition involves submitting a use-case idea for the Scope Rider and then in the second step of the competition is to create a video demonstrating the use-case. Details of the Competition and its prizes can be found on www.2-minutes.com/competition

5. The Competition is open to o companies and universities exclusively. Natural persons are therefore not allowed to participate. The natural person filling in the participation form in the name of the respective participating company or university acknowledges that they represent the respective company or university by registering the company or university in the participation form and that they are authorized to represent the respective company or university in the Competition. Each participant may be registered several times by different representatives. Only the participating company or university is able to win the prizes. R&S' employees and members of their families and also people being familiar with the process of the Competition and members of their families are not permitted to fill in the participation form on behalf of a company or university. Any natural person representing a company or university must be of the age of 18 and over.

6. Timing of the Competition

The first stage of the Competition starts on June 1st, 2016 and ends on August 1st, 2016. Only participants who correctly fill in all mandatory fields will take part in this Competition.
R&S reserves the right to change the end date of the Competition and/or to cease the Competition at any point in time. In such a case, participants will be notified of this on www.2-minutes.com/competition

7. Runners-up

The runners-up will be selected by a Rohde & Schwarz panel within a week of the first stage finishing and be informed by e-mail before August 29th, 2016. The runners-up will be consulted prior to loan R&S®Scope Rider being sent to them for the second stage. Completed videos need to be submitted by October 30th, 2016. The announcement of the winner will be made on November 30th, 2016 and announced on www.2-minutes.com/competition. The videos created by the runners-up will be posted on our social media channels and the competition website. R&S reserve the right to use these videos in future promotions.

8. The loan Scope Riders issued for the second stage of the competition remain the property of R&S and the participant must complete appropriate loan documentation with the local R&S subsidiary prior to dispatch.

9. All participation and communication will be logged by R&S' server. The winners will be notified via email and on www.2-minutes/competition and consent to the publication of their names on www.2-minutes.com/competition.

10. The prizes described on www.2-minutes.com/competition will be awarded. Prizes are not necessarily exactly as indicated on www.2-minutes.com/competition The model, color, etc. may vary.

11. No cash equivalent or exchange of prizes is allowed. Prizes are non-transferable. All taxes, levies, duties, fees and other charges levied in the participant's country shall be borne by the participant.

12. Participants who breach these terms and conditions of participation can be disqualified by R&S. In such cases, prizes can also be withdrawn retrospectively. In case a prize is withdrawn retrospectively due to the breach of these terms and conditions of participation, it shall be returned by the respective participant at their cost to R&S' address mentioned under Nr.1 and a new winner will be drawn.

13. In case delivery of the prize to the respective winner is not allowed due to any applicable national and international customs and foreign trade and payments law (export control laws), R&S will withdraw the prize retrospectively and draw a new winner.

14. Data Protection

The conditions and regulations for data protection, which are to be accepted by the participants, are described on the registration page of the website for this competition.

15. The videos have to be submitted at scopeinspace@rohde-schwarz.com as a download link with max. 500 MB.

16. Prizes will be sent out by mail at R&S' expense. The risk of loss or damage passes to the winner when the prize is handed over to the carrier. Any customs clearance and payment of customs duty are the sole responsibility of the winner.

17. R&S shall be liable without limitation for damage caused with intent. Otherwise, the liability of R&S towards the participant, no matter on what legal ground, shall be excluded.

18. The contractual relations between R&S and the respective participant shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without any recourse to the conflict of laws. The courts of Munich, Germany, shall have exclusive jurisdiction in case of any disputes arising directly or indirectly from the participation in this Competition. Nr.18 below remains unaffected.
The prizes cannot be claimed by the participants and no legal recourse is permitted in this respect.
